Who is Shihan Michelle?
She is a 6th degree black belt in Full Contact karate and the Shihan (Master Teacher) in her own Karate School, Karate-Do Ken Wa Kan. She is a 6-time World Oyama Knockdown Champion who has earned many North American Open Tournament Championship titles in Kata (Form) and Kumite (Fighting).
Michelle’s expertise in movement extends beyond Martial Arts. She is also a Laban Certified Movement Analyst and Somatic Educator, which means that she is an expert in the language of movement. She is also a Registered Movement Pattern Analyst, a comprehensive system for assessing an individual's core motivations in decision making processes based on the disciplined analysis of non verbal behavior.
